President of WSA

Dear Colleagues,

World Society of Arrhythmias, the former ICPES, which had its name changed in 2011 in order to express its global interest better in the field of Cardiac Arrhythmias.

WSA, as a non-profit international organization, aims to be a leading resource in cardiac pacing and electrophysiology for underserved areas. Our new Website has been designed to help realise our mission of 'Engage and educate all those involved in arrhythmia care”. With its interactive and user-friendly face, you can reach the rich and ever growing resources in the arrhythmia field. We will further develop regular web-based, excellent, innovative educational content. You will become aware of our WSA educational activities. In addition, you can also contribute to the content.

We have created a committee structure to address the strategic targets specifically in underserved areas of the world. You can join us in our volunteer activities through the committees in which you might be interested. The membership community is developing very fast and includes real global participation which very much reflects the global character of the WSA. Physicians, Trainees, Scientists, Allied Professionals, Industry Members are welcome as members of the WSA. We have developed a path for trainees and young medical professionals: the Young EP Group. This is a platform for expression and discussion promoting creation of their own educational programmes and networking. In the Global Arrhythmia Collaboration committee, our aim is to collaborate with, and not compete against, the major arrhythmia societies (HRS, EHRA, APHRS, LAHRS, AFHRA, ECAS), smaller/regional arrhythmia societies, other larger cardiovascular societies and other non-arrhythmia cardiovascular societies, which share interests with WSA.

Join us, we will become stronger together,
